With some amount of apprehension I opened the package not really knowing what to expect. But, I will tell you the portrait is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. I made a trip to a nearby sawmill, bought some American Cherry lumber, and spent nearly a week making a frame. It is the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I see at night. Couldn't be happier.

This was beautiful. Very realistic. It made a beautiful piece at my mother’s funeral. Arrived quickly and I will cherish it forever.

About this design
A personalized Christian gift for the family behind the badge. Archangel Michael, patron saint of police officers, towers behind your officer in a devotional canvas painting. Created from your photo. Upload a picture and see a free preview.
This canvas is for the family behind the badge. For the spouse who watches the news with a knot in their stomach. For the kids who wait up past bedtime. It takes a photo of your officer and places them into a luminous, richly detailed painting where they are seen, honored, and guarded.
Your officer stands in the foreground in a crisp dark navy duty uniform: pressed shirt with creased sleeves, polished gold shield badge on the left chest, black body armor, leather duty belt. Eyes forward, resolute. Behind and above, Archangel Michael towers in supernatural scale, wings spanning the full width of the canvas, divine armor gleaming. He rises directly behind the officer like an extension of their own strength. The painting radiates warmth and sacred authority.
St. Michael and Law Enforcement
The Catholic Church designates St. Michael as the patron saint of police officers. This is not an arbitrary assignment. Michael's role in Scripture is specifically protective: he stands between his people and whatever threatens them (Daniel 12:1). That is exactly what law enforcement does every day.
Many police departments display the Prayer to St. Michael in their stations. Officers carry St. Michael medals and challenge coins. The tradition is old and deep. St. Michael medals have been worn by those in protective service since the Middle Ages. The prayer endures because the need for protection endures.
This painting does not make a claim about politics or policy. It gives visible form to a family's prayer: watch over them tonight. Bring them home safe.
"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." — Psalm 91:11

Common Questions
Who is the patron saint of police officers?
St. Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of police officers, as designated by the Catholic Church. In Scripture, Michael is "the great prince who protects your people" (Daniel 12:1) and leads the armies of heaven (Revelation 12:7). His protective, combative role mirrors the vocation of law enforcement. Many police departments display the Prayer to St. Michael in their stations.
What is a good gift for a police officer?
The most meaningful gifts for police officers acknowledge the weight of their service. St. Michael medals, Thin Blue Line items, and personalized devotional art carry spiritual and emotional significance that generic gifts cannot match. A personalized St. Michael canvas places your specific officer under the Archangel's protection in a painting created only for them.
Why do police officers pray to St. Michael?
The Prayer to St. Michael asks for protection against evil: "defend us in battle." For officers who face danger daily, this prayer speaks directly to their experience. It has been recited in police stations, roll calls, and patrol cars for decades. Many officers carry St. Michael prayer cards or wear medals as a reminder that they do not serve alone.
What is the Prayer to St. Michael?
The Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel is one of the most widely recited prayers in Christianity. It was composed by Pope Leo XIII in 1886 and recited after every Catholic Mass for nearly 80 years. It begins: "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle." Millions of people still pray it daily in parishes, homes, and stations around the world. Read the full text, history, and meaning here.
